grinding boots

has anyone had their boots grinded so they fit better? let me know if it works well.

Why would you grind your boots? Are you talking about cutting them so they fit your foot better or your binding?

no^ cutting the upper part of hte boot so it will flax better and be more comforable, andi have done it many a time, works great

In that case, then yes it works out very well. I have done that along with my ski coach.

Cutting the boot and grinding the boot are two totally different things. Grinding it would be grinding the inside of the boot thinner if you had something that was rubbing your ankle wrong or something. Cutting it is exactly that, just making a small cut in the liner so it flexes easier. If you dont know what youre doing dont do it but shops usually know whats up.

yeah i really don't wanna buy new boots and a shop i went to told me they could just grind out the area around my big toe so landings wouldn't hurt to fuckin bad.

^if your shop has already suggested this then why are you asking kids on newschoolers for their opinion. Your shop should give you the advice you need. I've also had custom footbeds put in my boots from surefoot and it has made my boots feel 100x better, but i has having trouble with my heel and my arch not my toe.

My feet are kind of fucked up shaped, so I have to grind down certain parts of the inside of my boot so it fits better. Definietely helps out, and makes them more comfortable.

they can heat up the shell with a heat gun and strech areas out too. thats probably better for the boot than grinding it away.
